COVID19 FAQS

Good To Go Scotland.png

WHEN WILL YOU BE OPEN?

Please do not book if you have Covid at the time of your proposed stay.

Barrow Campsite will be open on 1st May 2022. Our chemical waste disposal point as well as our grey waste water disposal point will be open to our guests.

HOW WILL YOU ENSURE THAT CAMPERS WILL BE SAFE?

There is lots of space on our campsite, which makes physically distancing much easier for you and us. There is a minimum of 6 metres between each pitch, with even more generous spacing between many of them. This means you can relax and enjoy your holiday.

On our campsite we have several hand sanitation units placed. Hand sanitizers can be found outside the toilet block, the reception and the bothy. We have also placed some social distancing (reminder)signs around the site.

Furthermore we are proud to inform you that “WE’RE GOOD TO GO” certified.

HOW DO I BOOK?

Please book online or on phone – 0044 (0)7494532380. We strongly advise you to pay in full before arrival as we like to avoid taking any payments in our reception building. For your safety and ours please make sure you have phoned in advance to settle any outstanding payments.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE ARRIVE?

We look forward to welcoming you!

A member of staff will meet you by reception, but please remain in your vehicle and/or maintain physically distancing rules. Please pay for any outstanding payment for your pitch via phone or online to the campsite before entering the site.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CAN’T COME?

You are entitled to a 100% refund if the campsite is closed for any reason.

No pitching on site after 8pm so please ensure that you have arrived by that time. If you are delayed please phone the campsite on +44 (0)7494532380 for further information and advice.

Per the usual cancellation policy, your fee will still be due if you cancel within 7 days of arrival.

WILL YOUR CAMPING PODS BE AVAILABLE?

The bothy will be open

ANYTHING ELSE WE NEED TO KNOW?

Please make sure you maintain physical distancing between you, other campers and staff. Physically distancing will be maintained though out the site

Also you should be aware that only campers and staff will be allowed on site, please no visitors.

We are afraid that anyone breaching the our site’s COVID-19 rules will be asked to leave the park.

WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I SUSPECT I OR ANOTHER VISITOR HAS COVID’19 SYMPTOMS

When you or some one else feels unwell, the unwell person should call NHS 111 from their mobile (or 999 if an emergency i.e. if they are seriously ill or injured or their life is at risk) and outline their current symptoms. Please also report this to the park staff immediately so the correct procedures can be put in place.

If someone with suspected COVID-19 has recently been on park no restrictions or special control measures are required while laboratory test results for COVID-19 are awaited. Most possible cases turn out to be negative. Therefore, until the outcome of test results is known, there is no action that the campsite needs to take.

TOILETS AND SHOWERS FOR TENTS AND CAMPERVANS

Most vehicles who come to our campsite have their own on-board facility. We ask you all to use those on board, for your safety and for the safety of others. For legionella risk purposes, and as your caravan or motorhome has not been used for some time, please be aware to flush through your own onboard water systems prior to use.

If you have a toilet tent, you can pitch this additionally (free of charge) on your pitch.
